For Sale: Brooks Colt - original (black)

With a heavy heart I'm having to sell off some of my prized pieces...

...so

Original (as in the 80s one not the re-release) Black Brooks Colt.

It's done under 500 miles, there's a little wear to the top and the usual marks to the rails that won't be seen once on. I will sort out some detailed photos of my one soon.

I'm not really sure what to price it at Fatbirds seem to have the lowest price on the new ones @ £95. I feel that an original should be worth more than the re-release, but then it is used, so... £65 seems like a fair price.

In terms of the ride/will it suit you. It's very much like a Turbo, so if you get on with that, you'll like this.

Colts ride really differently to any other Brooks saddle. The touring classic, they are seriously the best one there is. I wish I could afford it ... in fact I might just stretch to it. Please send me the pics when you take ones of yours hugo7, I'd be interested to know what style of badge it has on the back. Cheers

Re the badge, from memory its rectangular with rounded edges and linking "oo's" like this... but I will check.

I didn't know it was designed for touring. But that makes sence as it's one of those saddles that gets more comfortable the longer you're on it.

IMO it's up there as one of the best looking saddles there is.

iPhones are fuckig great aren't they. Obviously lots of room for improvement, but with a pc at work it makes mr wonder if there's any need to sort my laptop out.

Ps the seat post is the dura ace seatpost I'm also offering...maybe offer me a deal on both...
