How about a cable lock running through one of the vents? Lock it to your frame, job done.

Lucy, helmets are quite easily damaged, locking them to your bike isn't normally a great idea.
@op, get a basket. -

I have a rather fine helmet-shaped container (black and not transparent) which came with my Giro Atmos - I have never had any use for it.
If you think that you might be able to use it - it doesn't have any points of attachment and was designed, I assume, for transporting your helmet in when travelling - let me know if you would like to have it.
Free to collect - I am in London.

Thanks spudger but I've got a Giro helmet pod (sounds like that's what your refering to).
My D lock fits though one of the vents so I might try that but that leaves having to carry the airzound horn around in my bag, I was hoping if I could have a helmet box then the horn inside the helmet in the box. It seems to me that it would be something a manufacturer would have already thought of, oh well.

I thought this was something rude, then I realised it wasn't.
I was sad.
Hi everyone,
Is there such a thing as a helmet box that bolts on to a rear rack or something, to put the helmet in to save having to carry it arround, sort of like motor cyclists can get but more lightweight?
I've done a websearch and nothings turned up so I'm now thinking of making one out of a large tupperwear box, because ideally it needs to be transparent so that potential theives can see that it's only got a sweaty helmet inside that's not worth breaking into it for.
