  • Going to get my lunch today from super kebab (best cheap turkish kebab) stopping to get off my bike, suddenly I was really high in the air and my right foot was no longer attached to my pedal. what happened is the base plate (the bit the cleat screws into) has snapped around the screws that hold the cleat on. being attacs this is the two fixture part. My problem being that tomorrow afternoon ( I am working a half day so no time tomorrow) I am off to Edinburgh with my bike, I would like some foot retention on both my feet, so far i can see my options as being: Buy new Shoes, Buy road pedal/cleat combination, buy clipless pedals and straps.

I was already going to be very busy between now and leaving for Edi so quickest easiest sollution would be best. Does anyone have any size 11's that'll take a time attac cleats, or a pair of pedals and straps or anything that will help me that you would like to sell. Any assistance/suggestions greatly appriciated

  • can you not just buy a new plate? or did I misread the post

  • they're not great diadoras and the plate is inside the shoe, can;t remove it without buggering the whole thing.
I've found a bodge though, my cleat is now attached using another hole and only one, but it'll last till i', back from Edi, cheers.

  • Clipless pedals are the ones without toeclips.
