I think they are Slovenian... a good local backstreet bike shop that are starting to get a good reputation. Really small terranced house shop with loads of inexpensive second hand bikes - I don't hink his English is that good but her's is fine. There is a good mix of bikes shops in Peckham (SE15) now - something for everyone.
Still south of the Thames of course so a no go for many ;-)

^^ there are several bike shops in Peckham? I ran a shop there since 1984 till 3 years ago and there was only Wilsons - corner of High St & Bellenden Rd, who had been there with different owners since the 1950s I think. Next you'll be telling me there aren't many fast food or mobile phone accessory shops there any more, or that they've pulled down the North Peckham Estate!
In all seriousness, have they pulled down the Aylesbury Estate yet?

Too drunk and tired to work it out but surely you're not being serious about the NPE? Too drunk to establish the countenance of your statement. Its gone right? Since Damilola's murder was sort of blamed on the quality of council housing by local social services. The NPE is the only part of London I've ever felt scared in. I thought it had been pulled down years ago!

There were a few times when I found myself bricking it on the North Peckham Estate in the midst of all the walkways and tunnels and thought to myself that at least I wasn't there in the 80s!
