Wanted: Large mountain bike cross-country enduro

hi. i'm looking for a mountain bike, large size (i'm 6'2") to do a bit of cross-country, enduro sort of ride. considering anything really as long as it's in good working order and not too expensive. i'll be in london soon until the 13th so i thought i'd try my luck here.
at the moment i'm living in between the black forest and the vosges which are excellent places to ride but i found mountain bikes to be a bit pricey over here.

Pity, I've got an Enduro frame with Fox Talas R which would suit, but it's nowhere near ready to ride. I do have wheels and brakes for it though, so it just needs a drivetrain kit to complete.

Hard to know what to suggest as there is no budget indication, but is 1039 Euro for this the kind of thing you think is "a bit pricey"?
