I can't see any bike or motorcycle paraphernalia so I think it is a pedestrian. Someone is crushed under the truck and all 3 services are in attendance, with the entire junction closed and taped off.
It's a McGrath construction truck.
Here's hoping the person under it makes a recovery.

Cripe, here's hoping they'll pull through.
-

Fingers crossed they make it through.
That crossing is a busy one, with loads of shit going on from all angles. I come up Cambridge heath rd in the mornings, to turn left in to hackney rd, and even that gets tangly at times

Twitter's saying cyclist now...
Looks like a cyclist is under a truck outside Cambridge Heath station. Loads of paramedics, 4 fire engines. Blue tarps are up. Horrific.
-
• #6
And it's the same type of truck, again!
edit - not the place nor time to post this.

The only bike I can see now belongs to the paramedic.
They have jacked the truck up and got the person out and onto a stretcher. Not taking any rush to put them in the ambulance though :-(
Onlookers have been cleared away -

Person now in ambulance, along with a female civilian who appeared calm and collected. I am taking this as a good sign.
Best of luck to the victim.

yeah, still taped when i rode past just then, mass chaos.
-
• #11
fingers crossed for the victim.

• #12
Clearing everything away now.

I came through this junction just after the incident but couldn't see a cycle. Hope everyone involved is ok.
-
• #15
Changed the thread title to pedestrian instead of rider as it appears this may not be a cyclist.
-
• #16
Ahh, good work. I was a bit distracted when I started the thread obviously.
-
• #17
The police have cleared the road and opened it again now.
They certainly investigated the scene thoroughly. -
• #18
I Cycle past there on my way to work, it is a nasty junction with lots of pedestrians running the lights, hope she is ok!
-
• #19
Awful. We mustn't forget that pedestrians are at high risk from lorries, too.
(The junction is just outside LB Hackney, by the way, but that's just administrative geography.)
-
• #20
I wonder if the construction wagon is similarly over-represented in pedestrian KSIs?
-
• #21
These lorries are probably not over represented in injuries, but they are for deaths, because of their size and design. I say probably because nobody really knows how many trips these lorries make compared to other types. There are more pedestrians killed this way than cyclists. Be careful when walking out there.

hope the person is ok.
yes i agree with charlie. the roads are dangerous for everybody not just cyclists.
Not sure what is going on, but there was screaming, a truck stopped in the right-turn lane of Cambridge Heath Rd/Hackney Rd southbound, someone looking under the truck and lots of cops getting the blue and white tape out to close the junction.
This looks bad. I'm going outside to find out more.
