For Sale: Eddy Merckx Beater Bike

I'm selling my 'Freddy' Merckx beater. I have too many bikes now and don't ride this one enough.

The frame was made in France by Dangre STARNORD in 1975

• seat tube 57cm center-top
  
• top tube 56cm c-c
  
• horizontal dropouts spaced at 123mm (?), easily converted to 120mm track hubs
  
• MASSIVE rear clearance and I mean massive, see pics
  
• It has pretty much brand new chrome forks with tange headset
  
• BLB Pista crankset with 46t chainring
  
• Rear deepish v with 18t high flange flip flop hub
  
• Front standard road wheel with gatorskin
  
• Charge bucket seat
  
• Shimano Tiagra caliper with goldfinger lever
  
• Gas pipe slx tubing
  
  

The brake isn't attached in the pictures but I will put it on when I find my allen keys

The frame is pretty low-end - cheap lugs, stamped dropouts, generic steel. Stickers are not coated with varnish.
Plenty of scratches, but it's very solid and rides beautifully - no dents or serious rust anywhere.

I would like £160 for the bike. Collection only, could possibly bring to beers or meet locally. No posting.

p.s. I know there isn't any foot retention!

Ha! I forgot to say that I will try and provide some form of foot retention!

i use ankles to retain my feet.
