I Lived up the road in Greenwich and New Cross and spent lots of time in Deptford , and knew many people there. You've got your work cut out, and I'm sure you know it! So all the more respect for stepping up and doing it.

I have just been to the (former) site of Union Cycle Works.
Deptford is awash with Hipsters.
Look what you started, Jo!
Dear all.
The Union Cycle Works has just launched in Deptford.
Union Cycle Works is a not-for-profit community workshop and bike building shop working with disadvantaged people in SE London, through training and development programmes.
**We run an open tool box session every Saturday between 9.30 and 12.30. You can drop in and we can help you out with your bike and you can use our expansive tool collection. **Free of course, but donations always welcome ;)
We also build bespoke bikes for people to their specification, working with disadvantaged people in the area.
We will soon be building frames and custom racks and doing frame repairs (watch this space for more updates)
Be great to see anyone from the forum down there and any bits and bobs that people don't need are always very appreciated.
We are situated just off the high street, part of the Deptford Project (121-123 Deptford High Street, SE8 4NS.)
Ta
Jo
