Christ, I've just been told that it's six weeks until the Frankfurt markets arrive. This must be taken advantage of.....
How about a Frankfurt Wobble Ride following a meet up. YAH SUPER! -

Fridays are looking good, going to keep this going until friday this week though. Please don't think this is going to be planned as an all nighter... this should be something for a quick beer, babycham or shandy, a chance to meet new faces of the birmingham collaborative, and possibly a good location to sell shit/swap shit.
Thats it. All nighters are optional. -

Up for beers, but unfortunately Fridays are out for me.

Weds, Thurs or Fridays work for me, and it could be good to mix it up between them to be inclusive of others.
When we talked about BHX beers (LS, self and the Dans) I think we said a semi-regular fortnightly thing where if you miss one there's always another one not so far behind, kind of like the 50 bus but not quite as piss smelling.
Are we onto venues yet? Seeing as it's nearly winter I guess the Flapper's out of the question so my vote is for the Victoria behind the Alex or maybe the Sack of Potatoes, unless it's shit now, I don't know.Anyone want to have first bash at this the 15th?

my vote is for the spotted dog though - easy to wheel bikes into the massive, covered garden, good beer etc etc
there's a pub called the sack of potatoes? FAIL. frog and lawnmower ftw.

Sacks of potatoes is at gosta green.
Seems a bit of a random choice, a bit further for everyone to get to but not particularly extra special.
Victoria is too hipster. (could be a good thing?)
Spotted dog the best out of that bunch. The wellington is also good as they encourage people to bring in food.

yeah, Sack has kind of tons of parking too but as Sham pointed out it's an EPIC ride out of town for some people, almost as far as Nutters...

Digbeth, Dan only knows Digbeth, he gets lost past the markets...

craven arms? by the mailbox? never been there, but looks nice.

digbeth rules
it also seems that 99.9% of people on here live in south birmingham, so it's on the way home.anchor could work too. i think somewhere with a garden they'll let people wheel bikes into is a must.

Oh jug of ale, how we miss thee.

• #21
people who actually drink should pick the bar but wherever it ends up bring polo flyers (would be good at the Vic for grooming polo victims)
-
• #22
awaiting new polo flyers - they'll be everywhere when we get 'em.

Aren't there 2 spotted dogs ? One between Bradford Street and Custard Factory and the other near Sprocket?
The Rainbow has railings outside for locking bikes.

Why not this Friday...

Let the winter draw in! Who gives a toss when we've got beer and bikes!
I'd like to put forward the idea for a monthly meet up. Simple. A chance to get together and bitch about how unsociable this city is, and how the roads are shite etc....
Polo? We can sort out how we can get numbers up.
Rides? Lets plan some.
Training? Allow me...
Critical Mass? Critical What?
and so on.
Let it be know in the poll, exactly what days would work. We can move on to think about times and venues...
With the winter drawing in, lets not let television numb our brains..... lets leave that to beer.
Any thoughts - type away.
