okay no drama,
back on topic, I love these sort of films and the romantic theme, and harbour wishes to circumnavigate Mt Kailash in Tibet, 2 Tibetans have told me first hand to go and do it now, and in a year or so it is likely to be possible.
Seems to me you can still have an outlook of discovery even if not going around the world, going to get some space around me now, taking the bike and an attitude of discovery. -

Just send them an e-mail.
Here's hoping that it won't be those film I won't be watching.
I held off for a while on posting this as I know whenever I've started threads like this before they've always disappeared within a couple of days, but this is the kind of thing that makes me want to keep cycling, so even if it only interests a tiny percentage of forum members I'm gonna post it anyway.
I've mentioned the Great Divide mountain bike route a couple of times before, both in posts about John Stamstad and Mike Curiak. It's a 27OO+ mile route which runs from Canada to Mexico, almost entirely off-road. It's something i would love to complete at some point in my life.
Each year there is a race held along this route called the Tour Divide.
'Ride the divide' is a movie which was released a few months ago which focuses on the experiences of three particular riders as they attempt to race the divide.
Matthew Lee, who has won it multiple times...Mary Metcalf-collier, who is hoping to be the first woman to complete the race, and Mike Dion, who is hoping the race will be a life changing experience for him.
It's a great movie, full of emotion and features some beautiful scenery.
It really captures well what riders on such a hard race go through and shows just what the human body is capable of if you want something bad enough.
I thoroughly recommend it.
Just as a taster, here is the trailer...
