Has anyone got a Regina freewheel tool

  • Has anyone got a remover for Regina 2 prong freewheel blocks that I can borrow?
The Park FR-2 for Suntour is apparently the wrong size.

  • Monday lunchtime bump

  • i've got both four prong and two prong. can chuck in my bag tomorrow, feel free to drop by queen mary during day.

  • I have got one.....somewhere...

  • Cool, cheers people, but I've now arranged to borrow one tomorrow.

  • looking for one of these as well...

  • Bump.

I'm looking to borrow one of these. Is there anyone who'd be willing to lend me one?

    Cheers.

  • Go to your LBS.
    Bring beer.
    Borrow tool.
    DONE.

  • Yes, I had thought of that, but my LBS (Bicycle Magic on Greatorex Street) just closed and I'm in the process of finding another to replace it. E1 Cycles is nearby, so them, I guess.

  • Ah fair enough then. It's such a shame that Bicycle Magic packed it in, a bunch of nice guys.

  • I use to use the BB adjuster cup tool.

    It fits it perfectly.

    S/F,
    CEYA!

  • I am bumping this to ask:

Does anybody have a tool for this sort of freewheel? Or know a shop that def has it?

  • Or a very sturdy adjustable pin spanner with a longer reach than the short pins on a Park Tools thing like in the bb pic above?

  • Ah, no. It's for the splined type, but god knows if I can get it down the gap around the over-lock spacer thing this hub has ... looks like I'm fucked.

  • Does anybody have the actual Regina tool I can try this out with to see if it fits in there? I gather it's thinner than the others available.

  • Regina splined remover, anybody?

  • I ve the same problem

I ve heard the bike cave people might have one.

  • ^Petercater: I may just have to get my own from Campyoldy, but I just want to check it fits. I'd quite like a new freewheel too, but they cost a packet from him! Maybe time to hit the jumbles instead.

May have located a possible loan in SE London, a kind forumer got in touch.

  • if you dont want to keep the freewheel you can take it off pretty easy.

use a dot punch or edge of a screw driver, light/hard taps at the dotted part, i think theyre threaded the other way to normal. undo that, lift the cassette off, vice, big adjustable spanner or grips on the bit thats left, give it some force and off it comes.

otherwise find wonky tool. theres a place in brighton called freedom bikes which has loads of unusual cassette tools and will have it removed for £5 while you wait

  • You can make one extractor with a metal tube
