This is the detail of what I want you to assist me in doing, One of our accounts with holding balance of US$59,000.000.00 (Fifty-Nine Million United States Dollars) has been dormant and has not been operated for the past four (9) years. From my investigations and confirmations, the owner of this account, a foreigner by name (Mr. Kurt Kahle) died in July, 2000, For more Information see BBC News on:-http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/859479.stm

I have secretly discussed this matter with a senior official of this bank and we have agreed to find a reliable foreign partner to deal with. We thus propose to do business with you, standing in as the next of kin of these funds from the deceased and funds released to you after due processes have been followed.

Noted that in percentage you will be entitled to 25% of the total sum as gratification, while 5% will be set aside to take care of expenses that may arise during the time of transfer while 70% will be for my partners and me.

Please you have been advised to keep top secret and noted that this transaction is totally free of risk and troubles as the fund is legitimate and does not originate from drug, money laundry, terrorism or any other illegal act. On receipt of your response I will furnish you with detailed clarification as it relates to this mutual benefit transaction, I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible if you are interested and with your trust. • Thankyou for your kind offer but i have more than enough money than i know what do with.

or sometimes i tell them honestly what they can do with their offer which i would'nt even repeat on this forum.

  • I could be wrong, but doesn't posting spam e-mail stuff on here increase the chance of lfgss being blocked in peoples workplaces etc?
You might wanna remove the text above.

  • Because it costs pennies in overheads, and if 1 person in 20,000 replies then its easy monies.

  • They work well for me. I usually get about £12-15K per month from these.

  • Strangely enough, these scams have worked in a number of cases, even desperately bizarre ones.

Not that I'm aware of. Unless hippy or someone knows differently? Frankly I'd be surprised if this were the case.

  • Mr Shithole! ha

Oliver's right. He lost his life savings to a man claiming to be a Mr A. Nuss, director of the Canadian United National Trustees Savings bank.

  • His name sounded so German, how could I resist?

  • Sometimes im so embarrassed to be South African...

    This just makes me laugh...

Here is a golden oldie - even better! How to get scammers to write out a whole book for you.

Oddly I feel sad for the scammer.

  • Me too.
Two wrongs don't make a right, tynan old pal.

  • Very neat handwriting though..

  • Oddly I feel sad for the scammer.

So do I. I think sometimes the 419 hunters go too far. Mind you, there have been some really awful cases of people being scammed, so some way of reacting to/controlling that is definitely in order.

  • I disagree and think we should be 419ing the shit out of any fucking fraudster.. so that means most investment bankers, politicians, etc..

    Fixed.

  • Me too.
Two wrongs don't make a right, tynan old pal.

But three rights make a left (ok, that doesn't really work here, but it's solid advice for anyone doing the 'Knowledge').

The thing is I love a good wind up, I really do, as my 7th "wife" Pam found out after our 3 year sham marriage - and has the paper work to prove - but Africa can be a pretty desperate place and I can see why people would try just about anything to get by. If I was brought up in some godforsaken shit hole visited yearly by civil unrest, drought, famine, corruption, war and disease I think I would do the same.

It's a little bit heartbreaking to see all that handwritten text.

    Typical German reaction, concentration camps.

Really? Why not just play polo like the rest of the LFGSS guys in Manchester?

  • Ah, but you see, youre all good at heart (its the reason why i love this place) BUT there are a lot of people that will take everything from you without a passing change of expression. In fact, if you get into any of these scams, youre doing it to better yourself by hurting others.

So they wrote out a book, so what, given the chance, they would take all your saving, strip your accounts bare and leave you with nothing (if youre lucky). This may have been their only honest days work to be honest all because of their own greed.

  • Really? Why not just play polo like the rest of the LFGSS guys in Manchester?

I was only thinking of Rwanda and places like that - you know, places where all hope is crushed, but a few desperate souls cling on to some semblance of hope, as futile and delusional as that might be . . . .

. . . . but Manchester, fuck, no, I would throw myself off the top of the nearest CostCutter™.

Good points, and valid points, pretty much echos what Oliver said too, but sad stuff nonetheless.

. . . all because of their own greed.

Possibly, don't know enough about any particular situation to really say, I suspect desperation and lack of options might play it's part too.

    Just look at Manchester.

  • Just look at Manchester.

    Do we absolutely have to?
