You're right. I've lowered the price a bit to what I was originally going to sell it for, but it's hard putting a price on something that's special to you!

I've wanted a vespa for so many years now and used to ride my dad's trials bike in the garden all the time. I've recently turned 17 so...

It's not just any conversion it's a limited edition SMITH by mr crackfox himself.
It will have a number stamped on the dropouts to which number it is from his first conversion. The paintjob is lovely black with silver sparkles (ive seen it) which on its own cost £100
so its actually good value for money when you put together how much has been spent on it.

Thanks Eddie, it's number 13 btw. As nice as the frame is, it's not NJS or vintage italian so doesn't seem to count for much :(

IMHO, you are nuts buying a Vespa. I used to have a Gilera Runner - similar idea but better performance. was bored V E R Y quickly, migrated to a Suzuki SV650 an then onto a Triumph Speed Triple. I have now moved onto bicycles as they are far more fun and convenient....
Keep the bike and drop the Vespa idea.
BTW - whilst those wheels may have cost you £300 to build (ex tyres and tubes), the used value is significantly lower...

will have the wheels for 200!
This bike is perfect to me and it has taken me a year of riding fixed to get all the parts exactly how I want them, but unfortunately I need the money as I will soon be buying a lovely Vespa. Current pictures aren't great, but I will put up some better ones tomorrow taken in better lighting. Spec as follows:
-56cm square (ctc) road frame. Track ends put in, braze-ons taken off and resprayed in a beautiful sparkly black with a pink headtube (rear bridge has also been filled in)
-Straight bladed chrome forks (drilled)
-Paul high flange track hubs on Mavic Open Pro rims 32h (single sided fixed rear hub)
-Vittoria Randonneur 28c on back, Maxxis Re-fuse 25c on front
-Gold 17t 1/8" VeloSolo cog and Paul lockring
-Shimano BB
-Can't remember what headset is on the frame but can tell you it cost me about £30, made of aluminium and very, very smooth
-110mm Nitto Jaguar Stem
-System EX risers + Oury grips
-165mm silver Zenith cranks + black 46t 1/8" VeloSolo chainring
-Izumi chain
-MKS Sylvan track pedals
-BLB double toe clips with purple and pink Christophe straps
-System EX seatpost with logo taken off
-Selle Italia Flite saddle
Everything is in good to great condition, but there are some small marks on most components. Many parts are fairly new and so have not been used much. Worst scratching shown in the last picture.
Will consider splitting if I can secure a deal for the wheelset and frame/fork first.
Bike is in Cambridge, but don't mind posting at a cost.
