Got back recently from the headquarters of Olmo in Celle Ligure in Italy. Lovely people and big discounts when you buy directly from them. Theres an interesting little mini museum too.

Man alive, nice rides people. We could be in double figures ahead of the coalition's projections. And I keep spotting a lovely wintered up white and blue one commuting down Lee High Rd Se13. All full mudguards and lights.......

just got an Olmo 70s C special http://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/olmo2/6.jpg but in a sad state, weird components so will get it looking good and post some pics!

Picked this up a few nights ago, from what i can find. Its a late 80s/early 90s Olmo Leader, Columbus Air (Aero/oval tubes and rear stays) Internal brake cable routing as well as internal gear cable routing. Unfortunately a litle too big for me, its a 56 TT c-c
It was so nice i bought it anyway knowing it would be too big, im a twat i know.
Bike as is when i picked it up, came with a 90% complete Galli grouppo, Aero KL.

Now that bike is great and the forks are to die for...

Wow that's absolutely lovely. One of my dream bikes right there.
Whatever you do don't loose that seatpost!!! Clean it up nicely, polish and white bar tape and you should be able to get a fair bit for it.
-

slangen-yeh i really like the forks too, very columbus max!
hugo-the seat post is actually round under the min. line. The seat tube is actually round until the end of the picture, thats when the seat tube starts to ovalise/become aero. So its not full oval/aero the whole way!

Ahh, that's handy, because I thought all Columbus Air tubes had a funny shaped/sized seattube with a propriety post. I wonder if the ST is Air, or if its something else...
...either way, lovely bike and a great find.

Yeh, i thought it was columbus MS maybe? but i came across the 'speed bicycles' website and they have an Olmo with what looks to be the exact tubing, and they said it was columbus Air, i guess they could be wrong?

Sweet!!

Here is another one I was offered a while ago. Does not look like AIR tubing except for the fork...
Sorry if I brake any rules now for not posting my own bike.

^^ wow, very nice. I think its Air, or maybe MS? You can see the rear stays from the seat cluster how they taper out from thin to wide, so definitely more aero/oval.

Does anyone have details about the lugs used on many Olmo:s.
Both my track bikes have them, jaseyjase:s beautiful Air Olmo have them and this one: -

What's the family's views on Falck tubing? Poor man's way in?
-
• #24
bought this Olmo Leader off jaseyjase a couple of months ago. It has become this. Mostly Galli groupset with a few Campagnolo and Gipiemme parts. Rims are Sun and look nice but will be replaced with something more appropriate. Rides beautifully but after 7 years of riding fixed gear my shifting is a bit rusty.

^ the forks bent pretty bad on that Blue one. Shame. :(
Everyone loves an Olmo but who actually owns one? Well now it's time to stand up my brothers and be counted ! You have a thing for occasionaly ovalized tubing ? Me too!
And no it's not a slack chain, my camera was damp. Ok, it's a slack chain.
