Looks just like the frame I won on e-bay round about christmas and the seller then claimed it had been stamped on or something by a flatmate and the chainstays were all bent. I asked for some photos of the damage and all communication ceased.

I know where to try and sell things... :) I'd rather not sell it anywhere rather than here, which is a great community.
I think there are some ladies on this forum or at least some dudes looking for a frame for their girlfriends?!
To be honest, over the last 5 years of riding fixed (and the last 3 1/2 years of being part of this forum) peoples perception of pricing has become more and more unrealistic.
I think it is mainly due to the fact that you have got the option to go and buy a cheap "of the peg bike" from a chain bike shop.If I wanted to get more than it's worth, I'd keep the frame and sell it in the future.
How many more old, original hand built English track frames are left out there I wonder??
The sellers on here are doing the buyers on here a favor, well at least that's the way it used to be!!
Anyway... just saying :)

I had one in a 61cm with the orig forks - was told it's a Peugeot.
Though I can't see the Gipiemme stamp on those dropouts at all???

do you post overseas?
-
• #22
Of course I can post anywhere. As long as you pay for postage!
English builders used Gipiemme dropouts along with campagnolo dropouts and cinelli lug sets...

I have the same frame and it was sold as having been produced by Peugeot - a professionel 1000 if I recall correctly. However after a bit of enquiry it seems Peugeot contracted some english builders to produce frames - I've seen a few sold and from memory all have been sold as peugeots.
Not noticeable without the wheels but the clearances are super tight.Mine cost many less gold nuggets though....
Small frame set
46cm Seat tube c-t-c
52.5cm Top Tube c-t-c
Tight geometry
Fast back seat stays (very nice example)
Straight fork drilled for a brake.
The frame was repainted as the previous colour way was not up to par... in the slightest!
Not drilled for a rear brake.
Never crashed only ridden on the street by a young lady for about 3 days then un built and stored for the 12 months... (It was too small for her)
Campagnolo Seatbolt.
Accepts a 27.2 seat post.
Does not include Bottom Bracket!
£280
