Falck tubing was a lower order tubing in the '70's early '80's iirc, used for the cheaper frames in a manufacturer's range. I'm not even sure it's drawn tubing; could be folded/welded. Well, 953 is folded/welded...

thats sweet, it's the heritage with legnano. 170 is a fair price, you'd get more on fleabay. This one is nice though the fifties and sixties ones were incredible, a legnano roma pista went for 1,750 dollars a few weeks back.

Good point - but thought it was more likely that he is fo real bruv than someone else wanting to parade such a detailed knowledge of the London Grime scene

cheers Mike, I'd never really heard of it until I unwrapped the frame last night, it was a bit of lucky dip... My cousin who I was staying with, had two stunning high-end Legnano's in columbus of some description amongst others in his collection, (got some pics somewhere). Like I say this was mainly for the colour and the fact that it was factory fresh that I couldn't resist.

no worries tis always the same.

yeh you're probably right, was trying to avoid any hassle, fees, posting, etc. and yeh that whole Mafia history thing is def added kudos.

this multi-identity shizzles' on here's all new to me, been away for a while and not really caught up with it all...
Top frame and a very good price... beauty...
cheers, yeh it's lovely, just can't really do it justice at the moment and space is starting to become an issue. I lugged a 70's Gitane back with me too, which is not as pretty and probably more practical...

Fantastic bit of kit, is it still available ?
I brought this back from a trip recently, but realised I can't really justify keeping it as don't really have time, space or funds.
I'm guessing 70's, Legnano, road frame, never been built-up. When I got it it was still in the factory wrapping I only unwrapped it last night to take these pictures! Really nice metallic turquoise colour, chrome fork crown. Horizontal Campagnolo dropouts, single set of bottle bosses, no mudguards bosses. Falck tubing (which I don't know much about I'm afraid), cutout and detailed in white headtube and seatpost lugs, cutout BB shell. No frame number that I could see from a brief inspection. There's a tiny scratch on the back of the seattube I've tried to show, apart from that, it's mint. Nice colour, will make an attractive build for someone...
spec:
Seattube C-C 56cm
TopTube C-C 56cm
Headtube 13.5cm
Rear spacing 120mm
Front spacing 100mm
BB italian threading, I assume.
Seatpost - 26.8mm-I think, worth checking this.
shout if you've any questions...
Cash and collection only from Lower Clapton.
£170 ono
