This bike looks dodgy to me.
Molteni Colnago's were team bikes for the Molteni team, pre-Eddy Merckx.
This was their colour scheme:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/oldcampy/4611365333/As you can see, these frames needed clips along the top tube as cable guides, whereas your frame has braze ons.
Also, the graphics are wrong, as is the headtube badge.
It might be the genuine article, but I've got my reservations. Maybe it was a replica sold in Belgian shops?
I'd do a bit more research into it before shelling out 300 euro. -

Yeah, I suspect you guys are right. Probably going to steer clear (unless I find some conclusive evidence to make me believe it's legit). Thanks for the help!!

Molteni were not a bike manufacturer, they were a sponsor who sold ham and salami. Their classic colour scheme from the Eddy Mercx days are reproduced by Colnago in their current Master steel frame. Colnago made Eddy's bikes but I've no idea if Molteni continued to sponsor anyone else since he moved on, and who made their bikes and what colour they were. Difficult to tell much from these low res pictures.
Hey, just wondering if any of you guys could help me out. I came across this advert and was wondering what you thought or if you had any info on the bike. Having desperate trouble uploading images (still trying) but the blurb is as follows.
"Molteni (Colnago) made in Milano, 61cm frame, 10 speed, very light, Columbus tubing,, 3TTT stem and handlebars, Sachs rear derailleur, Gian Robert System front derailleur (rare Italian made), Maillard high flange hubs, Ambrosio rear wheel, Mavic Linea saddle, Universal Mod 125 brakes. New tyres and tubes. extremely rare bike. 300euro. Offers accepted"
Does this seem like a good deal? The guy is a pretty reputable dealer. If anyone had any info or opinions on this as a potential purchase I'd greatly appreciate it.
