You can mix 1/8 and 3/32 in the sense of chainring and sprocket, but you must use a 1/8 chain (i.e., you can't put a smaller chain on a bigger tooth).

A 1/8th chain will work with any combination of sprocket/chainring, but a 3/32 chain will not fit over anything you have that is 1/8th.....

Hello, I wonder if one cna mix 1/8 and 3/32..
Trying to get a low polo gear I wanna go bmx chainwheel (1/8), but the sprocket is 3/32. Can one mix them or will I get hit by lightning or something if I try it?
Also would a 1/8 or 3/32 chain be to prefear with?
