I'll rephrase/refine the question: a portable lock that doesn't defeat the purpose of a lightweight city bike and doesn't spoil its looks, whilst still providing reasonable protection.
The threads quoted didn't give that answer; I've had a lok at them

If you do not want to lose your bike to some light fingered thieft there is no answer to your specific question.
Two good quality locks in a bag is the only way, an unfortunate paradox to riding a lightweight bike of any quality.
Or do not leave it anywhere unattended.
Sorry if this is a repost, but how do you guys lock your bikes? What sort of locks do you use with your lightweight bikes, used in the city?
