was it at the lights by the cinema? that junction's a mess in terms of timing, traffic volume and road condition.

I avoid Streatham High Road like the plague. It was not voted Britains worst street 2002 for no reason. -

It was not voted Britains worst street 2002 for no reason.no way! that's interesting, i always felt like it was unnecessarily congested and dangerous... i never go that way on my bike though since I live SE15-way, so have yet to experience it while riding.

actually, i think it might have been right there... my knowledge of Streatham High Road isn't that strong, I never really take it but come to think of it I feel like he might have been lying up against a cinema

this all leads me to suspect that this is yet another example of how disgusting people can be by hitting a cyclist (an older man, at that!) and just taking off like a coward. i hope they get what they deserve. more importantly, i hope the cyclist comes out of this ok.[/Daily Mail Reader]
A right Inspector Clueso aren't you?
morning everyone
sorry this is a bit late, but had no access to the internet yesterdauy
yesterday driving back from Ikea Croydon I witnessed what appeared to be a hit-and-run on Streatham High Road... an older gentleman was kneeling on the pavement being looked after by two police officers. He was wearing a helmet (AND full fluorescent gear!) and there didn't appear to be any blood, but it looked as though he was attempting to be sick and in a great deal of distress.
no one else was present, and his bike lay twisted beside him on the asphalt.
an ambulance passed us both ways on our return home.
