Yep - a character indeed by the sounds of it, and a proper 'cycling name' rather than just a rebadged generic frame that Dean frames sometimes get confused with.

and the story about the dump in a cycling cap is a true one, as substantiated many times by Tony Gowland who was there at the time- Tony is to be seen at Jenner's Boulter's Lock Maidenhead having a can of something fizzy at about 11.00am of a Saturday morning

Good condition, few touch ups along to top tube, dent free, odd bits of light rust but nothing unusual - looks smart when built up. Rear adjusters are present but stuck. Includes an excellent Suntour GPX headset (equiv. Shimano 105) and taper bottom bracket.
Nigel Dean's shop was in St Albans. An ex GB pro, dean built frames for a number of shops 'own brands', apparently he also took a dump in a biretta.
