no option for 'sell both his Day Ones'???

seems to have picked up speed on the London classifieds...

i think all these 'set fire to it...' voters are misunderstanding the nature of void's hippiedom. he's much more the vague, anti-ebay-2010, lsd-frazzled type than the art-project type. he'll blatantly discount it in a week...
-

dude, that's slander or libel or whatever the fuck it is when someone makes shit up, I don't even know what acid is.
-

Is it on gumtree? ye canna put it on there and on here. you'll get shafted in the main classifieds.

thrilling spectacle. this is turning into an epic...
stay tuned folks - will void travel to oxford for the extra tenner?
- will the buyer show up? - will void regret the decision? - will void offer to buy it back?
-
• #10
ha, except he pm'd with an unprompted extra £20 incentive, another dude is coming to see it on Sunday, another one tomorrow... should sell now.
and no, won't be buying this one back, I know you don't like Surlys but I'm really kind of fond of that bike.

i *do *like surlys, and if i had a steamroller i'd blatantly keep it. muchos flexibility and you got it at a price that makes it worthwhile. the problem is that in the uk, aren't as competetively priced as they should be and have hence acquired a undeserving trendiness. there's also a vegan/straightedgedness about the brand...

nervy buyer - get him to brum then say '£300 or i punch you in the stomach and take your iphone'. he'll pay. sucka.
-
• #13
vegan? really?
-
• #14
there's also a vegan/straightedgedness about the brand...
is there?
well I'm not straight edge because I drink tea, and I'm not vegan because I eat cheese so I need to sell mine again, damn.
you're right about the exchange rate bs though, mine was $600.
-
• #15
maybe over-egging things with the vegan/straightedge thing, but they're definitely lefties. as far as bike brands go, they're pretty ideological (admittedly this isn't seen in their bikes, more their website...)

Dan's drunk

Very very true. I know exactly what you mean. Surly's shout a kind of crustie vegan tall-bike kind of vibe.
-
• #18
Void, the people have spoken. What are you going to call this radical new exhibition?

What the fucking hell is this Surly Crustie Straight Laced toss? Vegan? Fuckin give me a leather gimp suit with a load of offal hanging out my gob and I'll give you what for!
I am drunk.
Oh, and I no longer have the Surly.
As you were..... -
• #21
Yeah,
I let my Surly go when I found out it was a Commie bike. It was either that or get all McCarthy on it and lock it up for twenty years.

it was difficult but i managed to exorcise the evil out of mine. now it rides much better and i'm super happy with it. next weekend we're going to play crazy golf, good times ahead.
but the day one, I vote set fire to it and call it art.

What should Void do with that troublesome Day One of his?
