Needed: Use of a pillar drill or lathe?!

  • I need to increase the internal diameter of my freewheel tool so that it fits over my hub axle, it looks to need 1.5mm of metal removed. There's no suitable alternative that I can buy, so I'm in desperate need of a metal workers help. What I have:

I've tried filing it and I don't seem to be making any progress (barely marked the metal finish). Any help would be much appreciated...

  • can't you pull off the axle ends/bearing covers?

  • What freewheel?

    What hub?

  • White Industries freewheel... so bespoke tool, the one I have would fit.

Phil Wood old touring hub that's been re-spaced from 130 to 120 and has sealed, non-servicable axle, everything that I can remove has been removed.

  • I can do this for you Jono, talk to me/show it to me at polo and I'll do it at work sometime this week.
