There's a brand new 20-590 wheel on ebay at the moment pal, I presume you're after the 597 ETRTO measurement, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHROME-STEEL-26-X-1-3-8-ROADSTER-TOURIST-FRONT-WHEEL-/260658475728?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item3cb074b2d0
If the new one on ebay doesn't suit hit me back, I've got an old 26 roadster in 597 flavour (chrome over steel job) in reasonable condition.

I have one that you may have freecycle, but the chrome is a bit rusty here and there.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, so can't start my own posts but I am after the same size of wheel for my old bike. Does anyone know if it's possible to get wheels in this size that aren't steel, since they don't seem to grip in the rain?
Thanks. -

pattivee: yes, alloy rims do exist. Weinmann made them. But not many, and a long time ago. In essence, by the time [±1970] alloy rims replaced steel, 26 x 1 1/4'' [21 x 597] was already obsolescent, if not obsolete. So they're rare.
Building/built a racer with 50s raleigh frame, and need to find front wheel to replace skewed and slightly dented one I'm currently riding.. Any help appreciated, it's bleeding impossible to find any in this stoopid size
