Apparently we are seen as lazy, unhappy, social misfits!

This seems to me to be poll conducted among people jealous of the camaraderie which exists between cyclists and seldom amongst motorists.

Lazy, because we get more blood pumping through our veins in the morning? it's a lot lazier to sit in a 2 tonne armchair or train on your way to work.

Social misfits? what society are we talking about? Most of my friends are cyclists and I've got fucking loads!

As for unhappy, I am only unhappy when I see someone riding brakeless fixed with with no foot retension, but even that raises a smile

BTW I don't read the express, it was just the first article I found on the interweb superhighway

I am lazy, actually. The reason I got into cycling again was that I wanted longer in bed in the morning, and cycling cut my commute down from 40 minutes to 15 max
