The forum doesn't need the cash right now (though there's always a donate button if you're feeling so inclined), but as I've been reminded of the lack of existence of a user whose id is 2... then in aid of LCEF that number will be made available to the highest bidder.

They help couriers who have had accidents and stuff to not lose the roof over their heads whilst they're unable to ride. They do a great job and even if you don't win, you should consider throwing some money their way when their paypal works again.

What you get.

A chance to own the second lowest user id on the forum (after lil' ol' me). A chance to fib big time and same you were here from the outset. A chance to lord it over the minions with their 5 digit userid's.

How the auction works.

Simply reply to this thread with your bid like this:
I bid, £1.

Your bid must be higher than the last bid.
Your bid must be serious (anyone pissing with ludicrous fake bids risks being banned for a week as punishment).
The bidding closes when 7 days have passed since the last bid (this could go on for a while, but try to bid sooner rather than later).
If bidding is still open when Halloween comes around, then the current highest bid on midnight 31st October wins.

How this technically works.

The winner will get a temporary user created with the ID of 2 and then their existing account will be merged into the temporary account. This means that your userid will change from whatever it is, to #2.

As far as I am concerned and at any future moment in time, you would have registered on the day the forum started and your ID will be 2. Of course, the forum will know otherwise, but what the hell.

How this works money-wise.

After the winning bid has been accepted and bidding closed, ideally you'd pay LCEF directly and they would let me know that they've received it. However they're having paypal issues at the moment and so I would act as a inbetweener if they are still having trouble. It will be possible to pay in cash if you prefer (actually, this seems easier).

All of the money raised will go to LCEF, with not a penny deducted for any reason (paypal gift the money if paypal is used).
