• Good grief. I've been looking for one now for almost a year! They must be rarer than hen's teeth.

Does anyone have any good ideas as to where one might be found?

So far my searching has consisted of scanning ebay and do the occasional google to see if anything recent pops up from other forums.

  • Why NOS?

  • Why NOS?

Because everything else on the build is NOS and to have something that is not would be like mixing marmalade with Marmite.

  • could you not use a slightly older/used one until a NOS one tuns up?

  • I'm not diminishing your build by any means, but out of curiosity what will you do with the bike once it's finished - presumably it's unrideable with this level of component searching / NOSing?

  • How anal are you?

  • Surely when you start to ride it none of it will be NOS...?

  • How anal are you?

    that's a very personnal question

Why would it be un-rideable? Not something you'd leave locked with one of those shoe-string cables outside the local chippy certainly. But there's middle ground.

    How very dare you!

  • How anal are you?

Very. It annoys even me sometimes, only sometimes mind.

    That's partly the point.

  • Call Suntour and ask for Mr. Tom Suenaga. Send him my regards. No joke.

  • Sort it out, Joel... Get the mech, ride the bike... Lesson ends...

Just meant that you sounded quite committed to NOS yet as soon as it's ridden then it no longer is the think that you spent a year looking for so I was wondering if you were building it to ride or to keep somewhere (another response answers this).

  • Buy an OTP.
