Hi, what's your budget? I have something that might suit - small Pinnacle ladies hybrid bike that errs on the side of a road bike. In very good condition, as I only rode it for a few months before I decided single speed was more my style :-)

Are these for yourself or gifts for others
Either way most hybrids are utter shite.
A simple 3 speed with coaster brake will do the job with a lot less hassle
Hybrids tend to be hugely over complicated, so when they go wrong they turn into a bit of a nightmare

Thanks Minimerk - sounds ok - can you send some pics or link me to some? What;'s the model / spec etc? I can PM you an Email address.
Hi DJ - yeah I agree with you about hybrids but these 2 women friends won't be swayed. Trying to get them to consider road bikes instead...need gears as we're in hilly lake district.

This is the bike - http://www.pinnacle-bikes.co.uk/2008+Bikes/Woman/Aura_Bow/?contentId=1278
(I was young and naive and purchasing my first bike for commuting in London - don't judge!!)I can take some photos when I get home tonight of the actual one (so PM your email) - currently I've got drop bars with Shimano Sora STI shifters and 700x23 tyres on there but can easily put the original kit back on.
Hi,
I'm looking for 2 ladies road / hybrid bikes.
Both need to be small (approx 49/51cm compact) and relatively recent.
I know this is supposed to be only fixed and singlespeed but we all have too many bikes don't we...?
Anyone got anything appropriate they're looking to sell?
Cheers
Bernie.
