Vocational School Advice?

So my lady is applying to a program at LCC and I may be coming back to visit for a while... assuming all goes to her plan. Any of y'all have experience with trade schools in London? If I'm coming back, the only way I think I'll be able to get in at this point is by being a student, and frankly fuck school unless it's going to teach me something actually useful.

I'm mostly interested in carpentry, welding, and possibly electrical.

Thoughts? Will this even work to get me a student visa or is that only for BA/BS/MS/PHD programs?
