Bristol bike polo are pleased to announce a Tournament on Sunday 12th Sept, the tournament is free to enter and there is no cap on number of team entries.

There is little info at the moment but as we progress with plans it will be updated on the blogspot.

There are enthused mutterings amongst the Cardiff lot, still plenty of time left for recruitment, injuries and logistical chaos though.

i would love to come and may hustle together some fellow birmingham players, but it's my friends' wedding day the day before and so i'll probably be too hungover to drive and do all that practical stuff. maybe though...

Looks like there'll be at least one team from Sheffield, mebbe two.

Is there fencing around the edges of that court? The shape of it is kind of... irregular trapezoid-y.

Train tickets around £15 each way from London at the mo.

DublinKevin, there'll be barriers round the court. The area is big enough for two tennis court sized play areas.

The tournament is being held as part of Bristol Cycle Festival so there's lots of other stuff going on that weekend too.

Might, might, might be up for it. Would like to check out Bristol properly, was only there for a day for a job interview nearly a year ago. I'll have to see how I am healing up though much closer to the time.

Location has been moved to Dame Emily Park (Dean Lane Skatepark) or known to us as The Deaner

There are now 2 courts to play on and the 3rd will be left for other users of the park, we are as yet unsure whether the second court will be used for competition or throw-ins. It depends on how the day progresses.

How do people register, start a list here?

Sounds like fun, alas I'm heading to the Isle of Wight that weekend. Sorry to whoever I drunkenly said I'd drive them to this...
