Wanted: Anyone got 60-58 cm bike to lend me?

I am leaving the country end of August. Would like bike to ride for next three weeks as I have already shipped mine. Would be very grateful if a good Samaritan could lend or give me one.

So let me get this straight, you've been her since July, you've contributed with 3 posts, effectively getting out of the nursery. You then post asking to 'borrow' someone's bike as your first non-nursery post.

I dont think Crucifixi is being rude he's just displaying a understanderable level of caution. You are new to the community and you want to borrow someones bike for 3 weeks, you've offered no remuneration for this and you've got nothing to prove your intentions. Whilst i'm not by any means suggesting you are, you could easily be a theif who came up the the idea of exploiting a communties good will to your own advantage. If a guy came up to you and a group of your friends in a pub and asked if he could borrow your car for a bit would you lend it too him?
No sensable person would becuase you have no idea who they are, If you were well known to people on the forum and had many friends here it would be a different matter. I would suggest that you go out and make some connections with people in the real world, earn they're trust and maybe you'll have better luck.

Thanks spotter, but you know what.... this ad was not meant to be huge debate. It seems to have been a huge magnet for un coolness and I totally over it now. I simply put a ad out there for borrowing a bike for three weeks. Be it a old one, be it a new one who cares. If there was someone who had one lying around etc that would have been great. It was not ad for friends or to win people trust..... And it was definitely not intended as platform for every dumb ass in town to try be funny. i reckon you'd have have got more luck if you offered to buy a shit bike off a friend or at least somebody you know for a tenner. if you really need a bike just to get about it doesn't have to be 58-60 either? i'm currently riding my mum's mtb, she's 5'4 and im 6'3
