My Mrs is complaining about the pile of frames in the front room - you know the story.. caught me hammering in a headset race using one of the muther-in-laws cushions to protect the floor, etc etc,
I need a shop -

CycleAddict: If your looking for tools, there's tools galore.
If anyone is busy working all week, but would like to come and have a look, I may be able to open on Sunday for a couple of hours so you can have a look. If your not busy come in during the week.

I would love to take this on! but serious lack of funds/collateral/bike workshop/bikeshop/bike knowledge is slightly restricting

I know it's a trek away...though couldn't some of the london forumengers put together some money to buy the tools for a pool....It has to be worth it to have a few with LFGSS etched into them that float around for the good of every one..
It saves money and resources...?whats the general consensus?

If the shop is sold as a bike shop it will most likely be with its equipment.

Job
Spin City cycles in Hastings are looking for someone to run the shop
Duties include:
repairing/setting up bikes
Dealing with customers in person and over the phone
serving, cashing up, ordering stock
general day to day running of the shopSpin city (formerly Ken apps) has a good reputation in the town and the repairs and services undertaken in the workshop are of the highest standard, no less is accepted!
the shop stocks all high end parts such as campag, durace, race face etc and bikes start at £400 or so, so quality is quite high - not halfords or argos jobs, and has a good client base with all of the local cycling club frequenting the shop and buying trick bits for their many roadbikes... The shop is owner by Tim Larkin, ex british team and professional mtb'er and road racer, the guy knows bikes!
He has a young family and wants to spend more time with them so is looking for someone to take on the shop.
Opening hours are 10-5 mon, tues, thurs, 10-2 weds, 10-6 fri and 8-5 sat
The position is full timeI'm currently running it but have to go back to work at the end of the month, so start date is asap so you can get a chance to settle in before taking full responsibility
there is also an option for the right person to buy the business and repay over a fixed period of time...
Anyone interested should drop me their CV and give me a shout

After reading both post it seems like the offer is still pretty much still on. That said, I don't know why there are 2 different nicks posting the same offer.
A thread merger hippy?

So, my boss wants to sell his bike shop. The buildings rented, and its been around for 98 years or so (the bike shop, under various names). It is in Hastings so not exactly local but if your out of a job, need a job, and can get a loan, or you want something new, maybe you're interested.
If you want to speak to my boss on a more proffessional level, I'll pm you his number if you want.
Or you can call the shop/me on 01424 421030.
