Hi,
SOLD PENDING CASH ON COLLECTION
I'm selling this Freddie Grubb Comet frame&forks, comes with headset, practically brand new Shimano UN26 bottom bracket, and a seat post(shown in photo). I bought it about a year ago from retro di corsa for £195 with just the headset so i would like £195 including all of the above. When i got the frame and forks they had a perfect paintjob, now however, having ridden it for a year, there a number of chips to the paintwork by the rear dropouts and a chip on the top tube, however all are hardly noticeable unless close up.
There is a small ding on one of the chainstays which i will take a picture of tomorrow, although it is not big, was there when i bought it, and is purely cosmetic.
This is from Retro Di Corsa's site: Lovely Freddie Grubb Comet from late 50’s/early 60’s, classic dual-purpose track/road fixed gear frameset, beautifully made with 531 tubeset and Nervex lugs. Fork not original but suits the frame well, drilled for front brake, rear drilled in keeping with design, as are the rear mudguard mounts. Front fork would originally have had these too but they could be added easily.
21.25” x 22.5” or 54.5cm x 57cm, 1” steerer, English BB (of course), 26.4mm seat post, 110mm rear spacing.
As well as some photos: http://www.retrodicorsa.cc/Retro_di_Corsa/archive/Pages/Freddie_Grubb.html
And as i built it up:
Collection Brixton, or may post if there is interest.
Cheers, George
