About the guy who designed the hubs ......
I grew up mountain biking around Rossland, B.C. in the early 90s. I've since moved on to other disciplines including street BMX, track racing, touring and extreme urban utility riding. I gave up my car a few years ago, and have since ridden in cities such as Vancouver, Portland, San Fransisco, Austin, and now New York.
I firmly believe that the bicycle is not only the most efficient but also one of the most effective methods of human conveyance. There is little that cannot be done by bicycle.
I love a purpose-built bicycle, and I also love using bikes for other than their intended purposes. Some of the components and accessories I've wanted to use didn't exist for me to buy. So I'm making them.
I have a background in Electronic Engineering, but my previous job had me doing mechanical design as well. Rather than make things for an industry I don't like while dreaming about making bicycle parts, I'm going to make the parts to fuel my passion. My goal is to build simple parts that withstand daily use, and abuse. That's just how I ride.
Feel free to have a look through my Flickr stream, or email me using the contact form on this site.
Thanks,

Hi guys,
I just got back from London now.
Dicki, thanks so much for lending me the bike, I think Elaine will return that to you on Weds.About my hubs... Sadly, I dont have the finished product yet.
I've got a big order in process with my machinist, and they currently look half finished, and his CNC lathe is dead. This is killing me, as I've got many people waiting on them.. and I've missed a lot of my summer goals. I will be meeting with my machinist asap and posting an update to my website. Its hard because I'm so far in that I cannot go shopping around for a new machine shop.. so I'm sort of stuck at the moment.
As soon as I know when I can get these things out, I'll let the public know.
Sincere thanks for the interest though. Its encouraging to see that people haven't given up on me yet.

Lyle is my local mechanic, and all around awesome dude.
Making the hubs is a huge undertaking, as he does everything himself.
From concept design, sourcing materials, CNC, finishing, and everything in between. The ISO cogs were redesigned for 2011, early design vs. new design...
On top of the hubs, he's now making custom racks...
