Site looks a good 'un. Something to suggest to your friend would be an option to find bikes in other locations, or something that says "within X miles of this postcode". Would be a very useful tool for people across the country.
But as it stands, I like it. Give 'em a pat on the back. -

Damn, I thought this was a bike shed. I need a bike shed. Does anyone have a bike shed?
Love the site though! Will post on FB, and Google Wave, and Google Buzz, not on Twitter.

This site was created in response to the developer having his bike stolen. It aggregates all of the bikes for sale in London daily on ebay and gumtree.
Could also be used to find bikes for sale.
Sorry if this is a repost.

Brilliant idea. Friend of mine had his 2010 Langster nicked last week, I did a search on this and it turns out there's one for sale today, Tower Hamlets. I phone the guy to check the size and my god now I know what it sounds like in a crack den. It was the right size.

That's good. Do you know the designer? Things like that I'm happy to host and to give computing power to.

I suggest the link for Bikeshd is made a sticky so that people can have a quick browse without having to trawl for it.

Might be something to do with the bit that says:
"Open Monday - Sunday 7am - 2am"
Hey,
I thought I'd help a friend out and get a little exposure to this site.
In december, I had my bike stolen and was looking through gumtree / ebay to see if it turned up. sadly it didnt. But there was one good thing to come out of it was this.
Lars, who I share a studio with, built this site which streams content from gumtree and ebay, all in London. it updates every half an hour. I think its great, super simple and image heavy. Works in either way — looking for something stolen or to buy.
Anyway, I hope someone has some success finding a bike with this!
Also if anyone has any ideas / comments, let me know and I'll pass the comments on.
Cheers,
Toby
