LR50 WFZ - '50' is not normally the way the year would be displayed on a number plate..if it was a 2005 van (assuming it was a van) the the number plate may actually be LR05 WFZ. Just a thought for when you give the company a call, I dont suppose they will be too helpful if you are complaining about one of their drivers.

Damn. Maybe I mixed up those numbers.
Does anyone know what make of car their people carriers are? I can check the number plate with the DVLA, but I need to know the make & model of the car too. -
• #8
the people carriers are either FORD GALAXYs (most commonly) or VOLKSWAGEN SHARANs.

Spoke to Addison Lee customer services. Very professional chap. Said he would pass this on to Driver Liaison team to investigate further, but only took my contact details at my own prompting. Not confident I will hear back from them on this...

Was at full city the other week when some poor girl came in having just had her back wheel deliberately run over by an addison lee driver. Hope something comes out of this Matty

If you go on an insurance website and type the licence plate it will tell you the make of the car and color. This is a good way of making sure you have the correct information before going to the police or reporting it on their website.
They are more likley to take you seriously if you have a very good description of the car.
I find Addison Lee cab drivers quiet curtious, they are hard working people who don't make much money.

Also DMd Addison Lee twitter account with a brief (140 char!) synopsis. Their reply:
I will look into it, we have tracking but only if the driver is logged on and working. Let me get back to you.

I thought 5x meant it was sold in the second half of 200x? Although, thinking about it... that wouldn't really make sense

Are you sure the reg number is correct?
If you put it into http://www.askmid.com/ownvehicle/ you can check what car it is and also if it is insured.
LR50 WFZ - Not on Database (means it's not insured)
LR05 WFZ - is a Nissan Micra -

55 would mean the car was sold between Sept 2005 and March 2006...but it would still be 05, 55, 06, 56, 07, 57, etc.

That would make sense. I dont many mini-cabbies drive round in 5 year old cars...they rack up the mileage so wont last that long.
Modus is a small people carries i believe.
This mouth breather tried to run me off the road coming south down Charlotte St this morning, 9am. Swerved into me on purpose. Got his licence, got a witnesses details (a helpful motorcycle courier having a coffee by the side of the road) and now I am going to have a word with the public carriage office / his boss / the police.
Oh, and he was reading a newspaper spread on his steering wheel the whole time! Class A cock.
