I think its the idea that as an Open Pro isn't a deep profile rim it therefore isn't cool enough that offends me slightly.
Probably as I have Goldtec/Open pros on my fixie skidder

^^Im pretty sure that due to rotational forces and weight distribution it is only possible to skid on deep section rims.

Its actually a location thing, low profile rims actually explode once you get more east that Old Street. Fortunately I rarely have need to venture that way, and if I do I always have to use the train.
