I calls 'em hows I see's them.
Anyway, there was an Athena RD on here last week, but it was only snapped up once it was identified as one, so buyer might still have it. Worth a search and PM.

Well there you go. The "infallible" Sheldon Brown can be wrong sometimes. So he ain't the Pope after all.
Just because a grumpy US guy who we all respect ran a one-man rant campaign to change a word that all Europeans already well understand, we don't have to follow suit.
Most people say "mech" for that component, but derailleur ain't wrong, it's just different. Funnily enough, I have an Athena derailleur sitting on my desk here, but I think I want to keep it.

Thanks for the help. I've found a similar RD on campyoldy. I just need to do some research and see if it's compatible with my current components. The part looks slightly different to mine and is branded with athena, whereas mine only has the campagnolo brand on it. It's a 9 speed mech though, so I'm hopeful that it will work.

I'm pretty shure I have an Athena rear. Are you sorted now or do you want me to dig it out?

Thanks chap,
I've just sent you a PM.
Hey,
Like the title says I'm looking for a 9 speed Campagnolo Athena rear derailleur. I thinks its from the late 90's.
I would be extremely grateful if someone can save me from forking out £600 on a new groupset and rear hub.
