your center to flange sound wrong from memory as if I recall correctly the hub is 110 mm OLD hence a center to flange of ~ 55 mm is impossible.

do this to measure locknut to flange

I have to be honest and say that I am getting very confused!
The measurement you have asked for is 30mm (both sides from what i can tell) and yes the OLD is 110mm
The hub appears to be symmetrical then?!

That sounds reasonable, to check measure the flange to flange distance, if it's 50 mm then you know that you are on the right lines.
-
• #6
It certainly is 50mm!
What other measurements would you need to work out spoke lengths? Just the ERD of the rim (and cross pattern)?
-
• #7
Yep and I know it's 36 spokes on the coaster brake hub, what about the front wheel, are you 36 spokes on that too? I Expect I'll beable to find the ERD so don't worry it was only the hub as I'd lost the measurements I took off of the other ones I built.

Cool yup - both 36h - both on the flyers, miche high flange at the front - both 3x.
Let me know what spoke lengths are needed and I will get them ordered!
Cheers Tommy!

Sorry to revive this old thread, but did these measurements turn out to be correct? I've just bought one of these hubs and I'm trying to work out what length spokes I need to get.

If you have it just measure it.
-
• #11
Ah yeah, I'm at work and it's at home - was hoping to order the spokes now. Not to worry!

Yeah seemed close enough when i built mine.
Hi All,
Have just bought myself a Ventura (Bike Fix) hub, and am looking at getting it built, so am in the process of buying spokes.
I only have very rudimentry measuring tools -so I was wondering if anyone out there has already measured their hubs and can confirm (or deny) my measurements.
Spoke hole diameter = 48mm
centre to left flange = 56mm
centre to right flange = 54mm
I really don't trust my own measurements - so would be good if someone had already done it!
Cheers
