  • Had a bit of spill on Euston Road today, completely my fault, just lost my balance and fell into the back of a passing lorry. Some nice people at a bus stop pulled me and my bike out of the road and dusted us both off.

    BUT

I've bruised my ribs quite a bit and was wondering what the best plan for recovering from an injury is?

  • clean the roadrash and take some ibuprofen. Even if you had broken your ribs there would be no more to be done about it. Also, try not to poke it.

  • Nothing really.

If its not broken dont worry about it, even if it was, broken ribs tend to be just left to mend without any particular treatment.

If its inflamed & painful you could try some ice and compression, but really it will be fine on its own.

  • I've received worse injuries eating porridge. HTFU.

  • Yah, but porridge eating is dangerous.

  • What Hippy said.
