• You are invited to a day of Bicycle based Brighton fun. Everyone is welcome (especially Londoners/out-of-towners) basically the more the merrier!

Meet at Preston Park Basket Ball Courts from 1pm for a 2pm kick off

Polo throw in/comp. No need to register, it will be an informal session. Guaranteed attractions:

    • Actual Brighton Polo teams to play against!
    • Plenty of beer
    • Banging tunezzz courtesy of Tim's ghetto box and Toby's questionable ipod playlist

BBQ!! Wheeling out the famous BBQ bike we'll have some grilled meats in the sun while we all discuss the lamentable quality of Brighton's polo teams

Alley Cat. For those that can handle it after the polo. Starting off from the park we'll set a course that finishes either back there or on the beach for some sunset beers

No charge for entry but if everyone can bring stuff they want to eat and things to drink that would be very useful. We have a few mallets and balls but if people could bring extras that would help. If we can we might be able to swing some prizes for the polo and alley cat from some local businesses but probably best to see who is interested first.

    See you all there!

  • Someone else will have to pick up the BBQ bike, im working that day.

  • Can do. You gonna make it down for the evening?

It'll be a nice sunny seaside jaunt for any London types. I've got a friend coming down for the day.

  • Damn! I would have loved to come to this but only just read about it and have heaps to do this weekend. I don't know if any of you Brighton guys fancy making a trip to Southampton anytime, but last month we had had the Bournemouth and Portsmouth guys over for an informal day of team games, throw-ins and BBQ. We could try to get a South-coast mini league going?

  • sounds great Matt, We're starting to get some teams going so would be good to see how we compare!

This is what we just did up north, Manchester and Oxford teams all went to Brum for the day. I think it's the only way that all us polo players in the provinces will ever get enough competitive practice to contend with London

  • Thanks to all who came. We had a great day, plenty of polo in the sun, nice bbq but no racing (sorry jack).

Here are some pics and a vid of the day
