Your choice. As long as you can sing "just one Cornetto" you will be more than welcome.

Good man Mikey; was not sure if the subtle reference to Banco Abrosiano and the alleged events would be picked up.

Fiddy was always quite keen on the idea of an Italian ride so I'm glad someone's organised one Bernie.
When I thought about it Little Venice and Sicilian Avenue in Holborn were two top points along the way for me.

Also, Marcom is another who I once spoke to about this sort of ride.. Might be worth bringing this to his attention.

Just had a thought, the tour will be on.
Last year I watched a stage with Fiddy, Pigfarmer and Jonny in a little family run Italian Cafe on Charlotte St. Might be worth popping in if there aren't too many people. (it's quite small)

Your Colnago is desperate for an outing. I am sure you will turn up suitably attired. I do not want the Godfather to get upset, and you left hanging around Blackfriars Bridge......

You need to edit title to Sat 17.07.10.
Graci mille,
Don JAH timBene, bene. Thanks for the heads up.
Spread the word folks. As has been pointed out, the idea of an Italian ride has been kicking around for the past year, and I would really appreciate all assistance in getting the word out there.

i would have been up for this one Bernie... would have started on the Ciocc, and switched to the Pinarello half way!.... i dont make it out to too many forum rides these days, as they seem to be mostly populated by idiots, but this one would have been fun.
unfortunatley i will be otherwise engaged on that day.
Enjoy!
*"Hey, disturbing news is coming to me from London. I hear from my Consiglieri, that the fixie skidders are buying the fancy Italian bikes, but they do not take them out to ride. *
Why do you disrespect the memory of the Old Country in this way? Have you no sense of the history of our proud country, and the works of Ernesto, Francesco, and Fausto?
*So, show your Godfather some respect and join Don Bernardino on Saturday, 17th July for a ride out around your famous city to celebrate the heritage of Italian cycling. *
So, our beloved Godfather has spoken. We will be commencing our ride at Little Venice by Warwick Avenue, at 2pm. We will then travel, hopefully via the canal and Regents Park, to a cafe near Euston. We then travel south over Blackfriars Bridge, ride around Waterloo, with a expresso stop in Sicilian Avenue, by Bloomsbury Square, before our final destination, Little Italy in Soho.
Dress code is black suits, white shirts, black ties, hats and shades, and of course your most bling Colnago or other Italian finery. We are organising a travelling band, so all musicians bring your weapons. Violin cases will be especailly welcome.
Do not worry if you are bereft of a suitable frame. I will have stickers with "-ago" "-erello" and "-ianchi" so all comers will be welcome.
Caio.
