very nice frame, Serotta's are awesomely built and highly regarded.
Going by the 1 1/8" headtube amd lack of canti hanger, its 95/96 right? if so aim for M950 XTR, for two reasons: 1) its the right period, and 2) its cheaper than M900!
Id get a Syncros seatpost, stem and bars, and then aim for M950 everything else, hubs, V brakes, cranks, mechs etc.
Otherwise: Rims: Mavic 517, Saddle: Flite, Skewers: Salsa. Thats the law.
(did someone ship it to you with the chain still on? - eek!)

Yeah - really excited, deal not done yet, but I to pick it up tomorrow and we have agreed on price. Paint looks really good - only one known scratch - just kind of came across it...
And I didnt even notice the chain still on the frame in the photo....
Can't confirm year on the frame - but thanks for the suggestion on the M950. Have to start my search and start buying when the frame is in my hands tomorrow! I already have the flight sadel!
should have put serotta in the title - maybe people would have got excited
Hi all - Just picking up a new to me MTB frame tomorrow (in attachment if it works) and looking to build it up with period correct parts as far as I can. Cant say I know anything about mtbs, been concentrating on road for the last couple of years. Any suggestions AT ALL would be helpful to me.
Anyway - trying to source everything for this bike - so anything would really be considered (do have seatpost and seat). Not looking to spend a fortune - but l am looking for reasonable prices for reasonably used pieces of XTR M900 (period correct) and or XT Components. Front mech should be 34.9 pull down - that is all I know at this stage. Dont know measurements for anything else yet, so hopefully I am not asking a question that cannot be answered....
Perhaps Retrobike is the best place to post this - but I am not on there that much....
p.s. I am in Stockholm - so anything you have would have to be shipped!
bueller.... bueller...... bueller.......
Cheers,
D
