I think Traf would probably be the best place, its easy to get to and is fairly open so there is room for us to meet up and hang about while waiting for people, Big Ben is a little cramped. 9pm sounds good.

how about meeting about 7 - do the ride and then go for beers?
My day can then go work - cycle - beer. At the moment it might go work - beer - cycle/wobble

After thinking about it a little and talking to people, i think we're going to turn this into a mini bridges ride, taking in maybe 4 or 5 of the more central bridges. I'll have a play with a couple routes when i get home from work and decide on one that's not too far but will be enough to stretch our legs.
The start time is likely to get a little earlier also, thanks to the suggestion of Phil to aim for a pub afterwards!

Have you finally got it built then?! I may join you one day seeing as I'm setting up a geared beast, but still have a few parts to get hold of - i.e. the gears!

Here's a provisional route that I've mapped out. It may change as well go along though!

Rotherhithe? I left my stab vest at home dag nammit!
Meet 8pm at Trafalgar square (next to the empty plinth!)
I've been chatting with a few friends and, mainly due to me having pretty much all of my weekends booked up for the next couple of months, we've decided to go for a ride one eveing this week (Thursday being our choice this week) and possibly continue it as a weekly event if people are interested and want to.
It'll be a pretty easy going ride of maybe 20-30miles over a couple of hours and in the city, most likely taking in the river at some point. I'd suggest a meeting point of somewhere fairly central and do a loop, or at least end somewhere still central.
More details will be confirmed as we get a little closer (which will have to be very soon seeing as we're only a few days away anyway!) to the time but I'd imagine it'll be something along the lines of meeting at approx. 9pm somewhere like trafalgar square, Big Ben, or somewhere picturesque!
If you're interested then stick your name on the list and make any suggestions you feel you'd like to.
