Shimano freewheel 7 speed cassette
Pedals are Vintage MKS AR-8 Pedals / Christophe Toe Clips/Straps

to be honest, it's not really that either, you are asking 400/350/300 for a bike you could buy (without searching to hard for) for less that a hundred quid...or a bit more if you you were unlucky..
It's just not good value for money and the oen thing this forum is known for is it's self policing attitude towards the pricing of parts and bikes, alot of people come on here thinking they can throw together a bike and sell it for £400...which is rather short sighted of them.
That you have put time and effort into this bike is neither here nor there in a forum of people that could strip a bike and rebuild it in 4 hours...
so that leaves the parts...A frame ...£70
105/Exage secondhand group..£80
wheels...£60.
bars/bartape/sundries ...£40and I have given you the better price on most of that,
thats still £250...which is the top end for such an unremarkable bike.
and the fact you put the seat post in the wrong way round wouldn't initially give people the confidence to buy a bike you rebuilt for them?
I hate to be so blunt but there have been a few bikes lately wildly over priced.
best wishes

Not sub £100, but not a great deal off it. Good frame/respected, full 105 with mavic wheels...
... you just can't make money by selling complete builds. Its a nice looking bike, but all of the above comments still stand.

Is it not the case though that if he'd wanted to rip someone off then he could have just stuck it in ebay and written a load of pish about it? Instead he's come on and been honest. I hate to be blunt it but I don't think you hate being so blunt...

^ I think the point he was making is that claiming that bike, nice though it may be, cost-or is worth-£400 to put together is somewhat an overstatement and that folk on here know that they can get much more for the money.
Wingedangel's been very polite about it, hasn't made any personal remarks, and when it comes down to it has given him some constructive advice so fair do's.
If the seller thinks its worth more then he can always fire it on eBay and see how it does.

Yeah suppose you're right. Seemed a bit harsh is all.
Mind you, he was looking for a lot of coin...
have a Reynolds 531, originally from Tim Ashfield Cycles in Wales, that I rebuilt as a 7 speed for sale.
This bike is in lovely condition and I took a lot of time to source some of the parts and to build up. Unfortunately I am not getting the use out of it I should and want to pull together funds for a new carbon race bike I have my eye on.
It's about a 54cm frame, I usually ride a 56cm but at 5"10 and 31" inside leg it is still fine for me.
I would rather give the opportunity to people on here first to buy before it go onto Ebay.
The cost to put it all together was around £400 but open to offers.
Will post in the UK mainland.
Any questions drop me a PM.
Here are some pics (The seat post is now the right way round- doh!)
