How are the brakes and wheels? Any major damage to the frame? Are the gears in working order? I just had a terrible experience on Ebay. Bought a Falcon Team Banana from the late eighties and it turned out that the frame is bent at the rear. The seller is refusing to refund now. If there is no major damage, I'll be happy to pay 100 pounds (UK) for it.

£135 is a great price, no need to knock her down on it because your team banana was fucked.

Ludvic, what is typically for a banana? Right, it is yellow and...it is bent! Oh sorry, my mother always said don't joke bad luck, seller had to pay back! He may eat bananas till he is ehh, as yellow as a banana and after that change into a monkey.
Price is including postage. ( = 100 euro + 35 euro postage)
wheels are straight, hubs okay.
gears are in working order
This morning I made a 20 miles trip to be absolutely sure the Jan Janssen is okay. and I only can say yessss, Jan Janssen you're okay, what a nice bike. -

Alright, maryann. Don't rub it in. The only reason I mentioned the banana is to avoid repeating the same mistake, not to put the price down as suggested by one irate poster. Your price is very close to my £100 offer anyway. Jan Jenssen does look good but so did the banana! Where are you based? Can I see the bike before buying?

The Jan janssen is sold
For sale: Jan Janssen, size 58 cm, bult up with Shimano 600 derailleurs, Shimano Tourney brakeset, Norta crankset, rims: Mavic.
Very nice and comfortable riding bike, amazing how nice after all those years (built second half seventies). Frame okay, no dings or dents, no rust, vertical dropouts. Think frame is produced by Mercier (France), Jan Janssen sticked his name on. (Jan Janssen, 1st Dutch winner of the Tour the France, 1964, after his professional career, he went selling bikes, used framas of several producers of frames. nowaday Jan Janssen is a well known Dutch brand.
Painting has some signs of use and age, most of them hardly visible. Therefor a moderate price: 135 euros posted
