You'll be in good hands with Mr. Smith, but for everyone else Photorescue has saved my hide a few times (e.g. when I dropped a card in my coffe) and only costs £15.
Is that what you use Mr. Smith?

i have er? drive something or other? it's on the other machine and can't be arsed to start it up :-) but it works well i retrieved a whole corrupt drive that wouldn't mount for a friend. it was $100 and seemed easier to use than datarescue. i also have some sandisk software but never used that.

I just realised my 16gb camera memory card has gone corrupt. Tried it in a few computers, nothing can read it.
This happened after trying to use the card in a couple different camera's.
Im pondering whether data recovery is feasible. I remember doing it few years ago on a 256mb card and it took around 2 days with the computer working non stop to dig out fragments of everything that was ever on the card.
Im not really sure what would happed with a 16gb card, what the modern software is like, how long it would take, if there is any good free versions etc.
Anybody have some advice?

Merged. This info might help?
Well i know there's plenty of you out there and i have a little problem with an SD card with some pictures i really don't want to loose.
Metro can help me, for £25...it's not a lot but if there is anyone round here with a little knowledge, data recovery software, memory card reader and a big heart help is welcome.
Cheers Fellas.
