  • Nice one! Is it online only?

  • Monster noice one!
10 ordered for £19, free deliver too!!

  • I don't like giving them any more of my money after the way I've been treated by them, but i need some, and thats cheap!

    Cheers mara.

  • Oh my. i'm getting some. riiiight now.

  • the shittest tubes on the market

all of my specialised tubes have split along the seams, so they are shit for doing repairs on

have never had so many failures from one brand of inner tubes

  • +1, I had endless problems with Specialized tubes slowly leaking air, splitting at the valve etc. No such problems since switching to Vittoria. Personal experience may vary etc. but I'm not sure even £1.99 is cheap enough to tempt me.

  • these are shit shit shit

agree with regal, just not worth it for the hassle

  • Agreed, they aren't fantastic but i have only had one problem (slow puncture) and have them on two bikes at the moment.

For £1.99 they are worth keeping in my drawer at work for emergencies!

  • Have no problem with them. They fill up with air and hold it without any problem.

  • I've not had any problems with them either, and have been using them for 5 years at least.

Given it's DJ who's having problems, we're probably talking user error. :P

  • User error cannot be discounted in my case either, tbh.

  • Nice one! Is it online only?

It is, I asked in The Cut branch at lunchtime and they are still £4.99 in there.

  • Shit tubes from experience that the manufacture joints split. But hey that was user error thats why evans took the tubes back without arguement.

Weird. I've been running the same Specialized inners for a year, with my fat arse bouncing on them constantly. One of them got a puncture from a screw straight through both walls of the tube and has held that repair for the last 9 months quite happily. OK, I was a bit of a fair-weather hide-from-the-snow kinda cyclist over the past winter, but they must have covered maybe 2500 miles on the same inners.

I'm running them at about 120psi, fwiw.

What sort of distances are you getting between fails DJ? Are you running them at really high pressure, or are you kerb-hopping or pulling wheelies and stuff?

  • 120psi, cycle twice a day, use Specialised tubes pretty much exclusively cos that's what they sell in Evans opposite my work. Can't say I've ever had a split in the seam. Continental Race Lights, now they were shit.

  • One and its replacement and general riding 120-140psi

  • Bought a couple to keep in my bag. My LBS sells Bontrager tubes £5 a pop, so i don't want to run around like a headless chicken when I run out of spares.

  • Decathlon £2.99 for two.

  • Thanks man!!! just bought 11 of various lengths!!! better than 4 for £12 at HH jumble sale which i paid on sunday!!!

  • Decathlon £2.99 for two.

Evans still cheaper, by a pence. Free delivery too!

    (2*1.99)>(1*2.99)
    simple multiplication fail

  • More like going to sleep fail. Tiredness is my excuse, hmph.

  • Decathlon £2.99 for two.

The Specialized tubes are of a much better quality. It's a right faff pumping up Decathlon tubes because the valves are rubbish.

  • It is, I asked in The Cut branch at lunchtime and they are still £4.99 in there.

but will they not price match any online deal?
