How much is light??
Krypto evo mini is 0.8kg and currently £29.21 on amazon.
OnGuard Bulldog mini is slightly heavier (0.9kg ish i think) and with aux cable, £20.37 also on amazon. Both mini u-locks (8.5cm x 14cm) so ideal for rear wheel. Both fit in most back pockets. But these maybe overkill for just rear wheel, both sold secure silver.
Hope it helps

light lock = weak lock.
evo mini fit the bill, or just get those wheel that have a quick release system, and replace that with a secure one.

As above, but.............
Onguard Brute Mini or the Xena XSU102
But for lightness, and therefore LESS security (ie. CAN be cut with handpowered boltcutters), the Kryptonite Evolution Mini is probably the best.

from all reviews i've read the evo mini will resist bolt cutters and effectively all hand tools

Resist is different from refuse.
16mm hardened steel U-Locks refuse to be cut by hand/arm-powered bolt cutters.
13mm resist cutting, but will be cut by hand/arm-powered bolt cutters.
The exception is the ABUS Granit X 54. This is because its narrowest part of its bar diameter is 13mm, but its diagonal cross section is closer to 16mm. Its square shaped, not round like other 13mm U-locks.

Tynan security paste ftw
you should always be able to access some freshly
or use dental floss and tie a really compicated knot in it

ahh fair enough so thats where the fahg comes in, for the purposes of just a rear wheel and this thread i would suggest that just resisting cutters is more than enough, go for the evo.
Then again if you've got a set of 4' cutters you can get through any of it. There's a video on youtube of them cutting a ny fahg chain with boltcutters, scary waste of £90.

You're new here MDS, go to the Locks That Work thread, and just read the first post.
Its pretty well known, but maybe not to all the newcomers.
After a lock that isn't too heavy or bulky. Nothing to lock my bike too, so just needed to secure the rear wheel. Any recommendations?
Thanks
