Excellent. I've made a note. Didn't realise Rollapaluza had come last year. Must try and pay more attention.

I was looking at the Rollapaluza website. A good time requires +200rpm. To put that into perspective on your typical road going spinny gear that's over 40mph!
Do the rollers have any resistance at all?

What time you say is good? They have heavy rollers which help with momentum or something sciencey.

To get into the top 5. http://www.rollapaluza.com/?p=310
I've never tried rollers. I only have a basic turbo trainer to compare it to and there's no way I could hit 200rpm on the trainer even on the lowest resistance setting. My preference is to spin as well. I hate pushing big gears.

It's not like a standard turbo. There's a rig from Halesowen cc will be at the festival of cycling in June (5th or 6th tbc) so worth visiting that for a try out.
I did 24 something on Rolla at a schools event i was visiting, think i should be quicker now based on my Great Northern Rollers time on Fri night and chats with other competitors who've ridden both... Never know till the day though!
Also, bumped into Caspar and Winston on Fri night - they asked me to help find an evening pub venue for more racing after the Godiva fest. Will do and will see if we can maybe get prizes from local bike shops... Venues wise am thinking central and nice crowd so first stop Browns unless anyone reckons on another place being worth a shout?

I was all set to go on Sunday but I got dragged over to another local (closer) festival and by the time we left it was getting on.
Have you got any closer to organising a night with them locally at one of the pubs - somewhere 'studenty' would probably draw in more punters.

Not sure if it would be what you're after,
but there were posters advertising free hire in the litten tree the other day.
Not sure which day exactly yet, but will update when I know.
PUT IT IN YOUR DIARY - HARDLY NO FECKER WENT AND RODE LAST YEAR SO WE NEED TO MAKE IT A GOOD TURNOUT THIS YEAR!
Go shout at others about it too.
